Tips for Revision of COMP Paper #3

1. Follow the argumentative structure as a process of thinking about where you stand on a given topic.
2. Follow the argumentative structure as a process of drafting an essay piece by piece.
3. Follow the argumentative structure as a process of convincing your audience to believe your thesis.
4. Control and express your ideas strictly within properly structured sentences and tightly organized paragraphs.
5. Avoid undocumented assertions – cite your sources!
6. Review proper MLA format in your text, on-line, and in the student-sample papers — check your cites before you hand in the paper.
7. TAKE THE TIME TO PROOFREAD YOUR OWN WORK CAREFULLY.
8. This is a challenging assignment, and so I encourage you all to work with a tutor in revising Paper #3.
